Having worked as a conference organizer for 10 years, I can tell you i've heard COUNTLESS delegates complaining to us (event organizers) about being bombarded pre-event by sales reps from our sponsors pre-event.

So yes, do your research among the delegate list, and approach those from key accounts that you really want to meet. But be careful about bombarding everyone with basic outreach (which a lot of sponsors do, having seen those outreach through the backend of our event management system).
